Standard ASME B16.47 covers flanges through NPS 60. Beyond that, flanges up to 200 inches or more can be custom manufactured as ring-rolled forgings or fabricated from plate per customer specifications.
Series A (MSS SP-44) flanges are heavier with more bolts, designed for higher-integrity service. Series B (API 605) flanges are lighter and more economical for lower-pressure applications like water service.
